Values Statement

I want to be transparent to the people I serve, as well as the people I may potentially serve one day. I have to be blunt here. But it is only because I do not want to mislead anyone or be the cause for buyer regret.

I am not a fan of much of what passes for “good business” in the fitness industry (or some other industries, too). I am NOT here to “wrangle you in,” string you along, mislead you, manipulate you into buying on impulse, or disappoint you with empty promises.

I don’t like it being done to me.

And someone shouldn’t do things like that to you, either.

I distance myself as much as possible from all that foolish stuff.

The Best Advertising and Marketing Cannot Be Bought

The very-best advertising and marketing cannot be bought. Those are the word-of-mouth referrals that come from the people who rave about you to their friends. You cannot buy that! My goal is to never spend a dime on advertising, because if I do my work right, then it will never be necessary.

Here is a brief list of some examples of my business values and practices:

On the flipside, my fees are extremely reasonable, given my education, constant research, experience, passion, and enthusiasm. I truly want to do the best I can for you and see you succeed.

It takes a lot of time, effort, and soul to do my job right. It is completely fair to ask to be compensated for the time and effort.

However, if it would require more protracted services to truly help you, I will also be upfront about that and the costs, as well. Some things take time–months and months.

My business model, or how do I make money?

However, the heart of it is just providing great service and being considerate. That’s all. I coach people with challenging goals and objectives. I help people to accomplish whatever we can with the time and resources we have. I am candid and sincere. There’s no stringing people along or babysitting.

I don’t sell secrets or magic solutions. I do not try to lure people in with de-contextualized information. Context generally removes hype and mystique, but without context, you will frequently get lost on your health & fitness journey.

Really, I’m just me. If that causes you to say “hell yes” to working together, then let’s do it. If not, then it’s a no, and that’s cool, too. Maybe one day. I'm not desperate for work. I don't believe any coach should be desperate... ever. It's better to work another job concurrently if money is an issue.

My marketing strategy is just be me, sincere, candid, maximally helpful and considerate. I think you’ll have plenty of reason to rave to your friends about the benefits.

There's something sacred about this that I could never bring myself to violate or disregard. I like it that way.

This is a great start. I’ll keep working on this page in the coming months. Any questions, feel free to drop me a line via email.
