Running Intervals and Resistance Training
Routine:
- Backwards treadmill walking warmup (10% grade, 2 mph)--10-min
- Treadmill intervals (10% grade, 30-40sec fast, catch breath 80%, repeat)--35-min
- Backwards treadmill walking (10% grade, 2 mph)--5-min (catch breath)
- Resistance training–15-min
High-Intensity Training (HIT) with several movements, quick breaks in between (shoulders, midsection, lunges, arms).
Notes:
- Progress! Yes! It was the last day of week, but I still had noticeably better endurance. I recovered better from each interval (same incline and speed) and quicker. I also pushed for 35 minutes. I’m onto something!
- Today took 70 minutes. I enjoyed it, though. I suffered, but it’s for a great reason. I’m loving the work and effort.
- Knees, lower back, body overall is feeling quite good, too.
