Routine:
Total time: 75-min
Treadmill 1-Mile Intervals--~60-min
Warm-up: 1-mile at 10:00 pace Four (4) 1-mile intervals at ~7:45 pace (~2% grade, 4-min rest in between)
Backwards Incline Treadmill Walking--10-min
Total distance: About 7.5 miles
Notes:
- I got into a rhythm here, but it also took a lot out of me. I am just resting tomorrow (Thursday). Rest days can include weighted walking or hiking, but tomorrow will be plain ol' rest.
- Ahead of schedule: I'm ahead of schedule.
- Priorities: As I train and this program evolves, I will be able to prioritize weaker points, while maintaining stronger points. Once I have the running dialed in enough, I'll roll that back 20%, and get to more strength-endurance training.
- More is not better, but this was the most distance I've covered in a running session. I feel good about that--I covered about 8 miles and was feeling solid afterwards.
